In this post, i’m gonna talk about zakat. One of the pillars of islam.Zakat is a must for a moslem, especially for a moslem who works and have more income. Zakat is the amount of 2.5% of the revenue, but after deducting of important requirements. Zakat has many benefits :
1. purify the property,every property that we have in a lawful manner, then there are the rights of the poor in the majority of the treasure that must be fullfilled and delivered to them, so that our property become the property blessed
2.improve the welfare of the destitude,with zakat we can help improve the live of people difficult, increasing purchasing power…so that their living standard rise
3. reducing the number of crimes, with zakat, difficult people have money to buy their daily needs, prevent to do some crimes
Last night, i reminded by my tutor that the most important person who have rights to receive zakat is the most close to us and do pray (shalat). It means we are on target due to people in need and do the commands of Allah swt. So, the prayer of them for us more efficacious.
I decided to give my zakat for children who memorize Al Quran, so that my property become blessed by Allah swt…amin
